We’re proud to announce the new multi-chain desktop build featuring WAX and our very own LynxChain Testnet.
A LOT has changed under the hood. The old desktop was more or less hardwired to EOS MainNet — this one was extensively reworked to support Wax, Telos, BOS and our own new LynxChain TestNet.
Because we now support LynxChain, we also now have FREE ACCOUNTS. These are still just TestNet accounts (MainNet later this month), but you can see the account creation process.
Many smaller things we leave to the user to discover. Account settings, UX refinements etc.. These are things that we have spent literally *months* refining. Hope you like the experience.
We’re now finally ready to start working with apps. Hit us up in the app telegram group. Converting to LynxChain couldn’t be easier, and you can start today.
How to move your App to LynxChain:
Step 1: Download the latest desktop https://lynxwallet.io/
Step 2: Create your LynxChain Testnet account for your app contract (we currently give 2 MB of RAM to new dApps. If this is not sufficient to start with, let us know).
Step 3: Run and test your app on the desktop using the search bar in the app tab ( enter the URL of your web app).
Step 4: Contact us and let us know account name, app description and are you planning to launch on main net this month.
To view the Testnet monitor and create test accounts see: https://monitor.testnet.lynxchain.io All apps must be whitelisted by the LynxChain BPs to prevent spam.
With this desktop app we now have all three clients (Desktop, iOS and Android) that are ready for MainNet in a few weeks. We still have a “viral invite feature” that will be rolled into it shortly after launch, but the framework is now complete.
Unlike EOS, and unlike any other EOSIO chain, Lynx now has a back-end blockchain AND a front-end wallet experience designed TOGETHER. All of this will be live on MainNet very soon. Proof that the right small team can out-code and out-design just about any budget.
One very technical update. The desktop now uses https://eosrio.io/hyperion/ for history. This is a MAJOR speedup for complex portfolios and solves some issues we were having with bombsweeper and some other desktop apps.
