A second member of the WAX Advisory Council has been revealed, and it is one of a major global company. Last week we reported on the Council’s first member, who comes from Google, and we also reported on the purpose of the WAX Advisory Council; which is to accelerate the adoption of WAX blockchain technology.
Excited to join the WAX Advisory Council!Peter DeBenedictis
The latest addition to the WAX Advisory Council is Peter DeBenedictis, Microsoft’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the Middle East & Africa. As a CMO his role at Microsoft is to lead the company’s marketing efforts in the Middle Eastern and African regions, thus he’s ideally equipped to advise on the direction and initiatives WAX will need to undertake in these regions in order to push for the adoption of its technology.
This announcement marks another subtle, yet important, first (second) step in accelerating the adoption of the WAX blockchain. Not ignoring the WAX team’s disclosure that they’ll be developing custom NFTs for the Microsoft team, which in our opinion equally represents the adoption of WAX technology. Microsoft’s team will finally have something interesting and unique to show off to friends and family, rather than the usual bores of work.
The WAX team hasn’t communicated much about what each member’s role will be for the WAX Advisory Council, with the first announcement post, regarding the creation of the Council, still bearing the more extensive information. Perhaps once all the members have been revealed specific information about them will be shared. In the meantime, however, word around the blockchain is that there are upcoming announcements of members from Apple and Amazon.
