The WAX Advisory Council is getting more impressive as each week goes by and another member is added. Recently, a third member was announced, and this time around the member is a representative of none other than the world-famous Marvel Entertainment.
Jay Ong, Executive Vice President and Head of Marvel Games, is the latest member to be announced into the WAX Advisory Council. He carries a lot of experience under his belt, almost exclusively in the gaming industry. This is precisely the attribute that will surely play well for the Council as it aims to promote the adoption of WAX’s blockchain technology in the video gaming and entertainment industries.
WAX Council Members will provide input on topics relevant to their area of expertise, and identify potential roadblocks and requirements for blockchain to be incorporated into their business and products.WAX Team
Furthermore, Mr. Ong is also the Strategic Lead for Marvel Asia, a long-term initiative with the aims of expanding Marvel’s operations across all lines of business in Asia. Having begun his journey at Marvel only as a Vice President in 2014, he’s now the Executive VP and heads Marvel’s global video game business across all platforms including consoles, PC, mobile, and VR/AR.
Those are the same gaming platforms that WAX (Worldwide Asset eXchange) wants to complement by integrating a technology that allows video game players to safely create, buy, sell, and trade virtual items. Marvel’s game titles such as Iron Man, Avengers, Spiderman, and Strike Force, etc. would greatly benefit from making in-game assets scarce and conveniently tradable worldwide. As well as improve Marvel’s gaming experience by introducing a transparent, safe, and fair ecosystem of value exchange.
Not much has been communicated about Jay Ong, and how he and the other members plan to implement WAX blockchain technology into their businesses and products. As the weeks go by, we hope to uncover more about the WAX Council and the impact it will have on the adoption of its technology.

With that said, we welcome Jay Ong into the world of blockchain and are hopeful that his journey with the WAX Council will lead to beneficial relations between the two entities.
